this page includes a lot of configuration files i use for many of my game servers and client configs. this includes a lot of my source engine configs. they are mainly tailored towards a casual style of gameplay (alltalk on) and are intended for a specific type of setup.
specifically, it assumes you use an external fps capping tool (i.e: RTSS, driver level fps cap), and do not mind giving up some essential gameplay features for quality of gameplay.
if you have not made your own config before, or don't know what these do, you probably shouldn't use them and should seek to create your own instead
a configuration for fistful of frags, for listen servers. it makes bots dummer, reduces the respawn time and resets the fps capper to "off" with every new level change.
to install the config, download the file and place in dir/fof/cfg.
this destructively overwrites the fistful of frags developer's recommended settings. use with caution
listenserver.cfg
a configuration for counter-strike: source. it enables bunnyhopping, and is intended to be used with a tickrate changer mod, as well as -tickrate 100.
to install the config, download the file and place in dir/cstrike/cfg.
listenserver.cfg
version 4 of an autoexec for garry's mod. was originally used on half busted gaming laptop hardware, before becoming mostly obsolete. makes graphics look like puke, and has a lot of private documentation.
this configuration has a lot of junk and merges a bunch of random, unrecommended autoexec guides. its results may be mostly placebo, and/or cause unintended side effects. it is here for transparency, as well as backup.
to install the config, download the file and place in dir/gmod/cfg.
autoexec.cfg
a configuration for no more room in hell, for listen servers. it enables the server to be manually paused by the host (especially in singleplayer), and forces off nmrih's proximity text and voice chat features. it is designed in mind for casual play, and disrespects realism mechanics the game has.
to install the config, download the file and place in dir/nmrih/cfg.

a configuration for day of defeat: source, for listen servers. it overrides small talk and the fps cap, and nothing else.
to install the config, download the file and place in dir/dod/cfg.
